local schools community fund

St. Mary's School successfully applied for funding under the Local Schools Community Fund.
This fund was application based and open to all eligible schools - government, Catholic and independent. It was designed to benefit students and their school community by contributing to small scale projects and their associated costs at school level.
On December 16, 2019, St. Mary's was advised they had been successful in obtaining funding to erect a shade structure over the playground. Carey Covers from Stawell was engaged and on May 5, 2020 the project was completed.
We would like to thank  Dr. Anne Webster, Federal member for Mallee and the Australian Government Department of Education for their support during the project.
The shade structure will provide much needed protection to our school community and certainly enhances the beautiful grounds we have at St. Mary's.
