National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children's Day 2019

We Play, We Learn, We Belong

We play on our land.

We learn from our ancestors.

We belong with our communities.
Monday morning, Mrs. Hogan and the senior class organised a celebration at assembly for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Day (Sunday August 4th).
The morning started with an ‘Acknowledgement of Country’, a prayer and a beautifully sung ‘Aboriginal Our Father’. Then Ethan, Nullah, John, Zachariah, Darnell, Nullah, Daniel, Jaya & River dipped their feet in paint trays filled with their flag colours and walked along making footprints on paper.
We also had Louise Staley present us with new Aboriginal, Torres Strait Island and Australian flags.
More photos on website.
Thank you to Mrs. Hogan for a fantastic assembly.
